Classy, unpretentious, delicious, cozy and fun. With an intimate setting and casual atmosphere, The Bird delivers great food and delicious cocktails. Order at the bar and seat yourself, so easy. Sit at a table, high top, or on the couch. It's all good. Good for drinks and a delicious snack after your evening's adventure, but when it's too early to call the night over. Stop by on the weekends for a wonderful coffee or espresso and eat in or take out a wonderful brunch. Bring anyone here and impress them. You'll be happy you did.
The place was cozy and calming, had a very relaxing atmosphere. Will say parking is a tough one but it's worth finding a way. Biggest thing to note, I hate coffee, always have, no matter what kind of coffee I try, I can always taste the water and it just ruins it for me. That's either going to make perfect sense to you, or not at all. If it makes perfect sense, go here, get a latte, it's so far the only coffee experience I've ever had that I have enjoyed, you won't be disappointed. Foods decent too, you're not going to be raving about it but you won't be disappointed at all.
Cute venue, great food and service. Awesome drinks - Thirsty Crow, Carmen Miranda, and I <3 U T. Rex are all light and unique, well-crafted and well-balanced. Papa Oom Mow Mow a bit of a stronger option, just as good. Can't go wrong with the Bourbon Bacon Jam and Scotch Egg peckings - especially house aioli with the Scotch Egg. Southwest salad is massive with great hummus and avocado in there. Chicken and waffles are a must-try - dark-meat chicken is perfectly prepared, juicy and tender, and chicken sandwich is great as well - they certainly know how to prepare their fried chicken! Chocolate espresso cake is a delicious dessert option, warm and bread-pudding-like, perfectly complemented by strawberries and whipped cream. Update 03/2025 - Such a fun joint, had to bring the in-laws! Mother-in-law had never had Scotch eggs, they're great here! Not sure anywhere else nearby has them. Candied bacon is some of the best bacon around! Cocktails always impress. Deviled eggs, pork belly sandwich special, chicken tacos, and chicken and waffles are all delicious!
A very cool little spot for brunch. My omelet had smoked salmon, red peppers, and mushrooms. The staff was nice and the prices are fair.
Stand in line, order, and seat yourself. Indoor and outdoor seating. Specialty coffee, mimosa, and other drinks. We tried the Scotch eggs, wow powerful flavor and very tasty, definitely a great treat. I had the Baja Benedicts, bit of a kick, but very tasty. He had the tacos and added the sausage, bit of spice. He said it was good although still raving about the Scotch eggs. They do have the deviled eggs many flavors, didn't have room to try but we love those.
I moved to the neighborhood in October and very recently started visiting The Bird on a regular basis. The first few times I tried to stop in for brunch (around noon) on a Saturday, the place was so packed we ended up leaving. I'm not exaggerating when I say this- every menu item I've tried so far has been incredible. The people in the kitchen know what they're doing and it shows. The food is consistantly good, morning, noon, and night, no matter what you order. The bartenders are all exceptional- special mention to Leo and Laurel though all the staff has been wonderful. I love going here. The vibes are immaculate despite this restaurant? cafe? being in a shoebox of a building. I know from the outside the place looks tiny but the way they've decorated and set up makes the space feel cozy, not suffocating. I rarely feel compelled to leave reviews, so trust me when I say it's worth stopping in.
The food was great, so was the atmosphere and the server/bartenders I dealt with. I was looking to try this place for some time, and I have to be honest, I was not disappointed. I strongly recommend and will be coming back. Had an old fashion and the chicken tacos with fries. Very good!
Id give atmosphere a 5 stars but my chair broke while I was sitting on it. Coffee was good there, I tried their Dubai choc latte... and it was yummy! Their homemade turkey sausage with soft poached egg dish was surprisingly tasty!! My waffle was kinda soggy, they should've cooked it longer. The bacon was greasy but good. Decor inside was rustic n cute but it gets pretty loud inside, there is some outdoor seating... some parking next to the bldg but mostly street parking.
I loved the place! Went based on the recommendation of a fellow foodie, and it did not disappoint!! The mall quaint setup, was very welcoming, comfortable and and diverse. The food was excellent, and my pockets weren't empty when I left💰💰
Enjoyed a great breakfast here while visiting the area. The food was excellent and fresh. The service was fantastic as well. There are menus at the door, look up what you want and give them your order then find a seat. They will bring it to your table. The atmosphere was perfect. Nice a cozy and relaxing. Perfect for the morning. We all enjoyed our visit and can't wait to come back.
